Milwaukee Archeology Fair Co-sponsored by the AIA-Milwaukee Society (Archeology Institute of America - Milwaukee Chapter) and the Milwaukee Public Museum, the Fair will bring together professional archaeologists, museum educators, and students to present a variety of educational and fun hands-on archaeological activities. Greek and Roman warriors and Celtic tribespeople will be present in full regalia to demonstrate dress, weapons, armor, and other equipment used in ancient daily life. |

The Lafe event is a Roman "tactical" and 24 hour Living History "immersion" event that Leg. II puts on each year. It is fast becoming the Roman event in North America and each year draws more reenactors from each side. They are in the process currently of building a Roman fort on the site, along with the barracks building you can see on the website. |

Heritage Weekend (Timeline Event) Watch a blacksmith, quilt maker, fiddler, and basket weaver work their trades. Take a journey through history by visiting re-enactors from a variety of time periods that may include: Roman Legions, French traders, Early settlers, Revolutionary war, Civil war, Spanish American war, WWI, WWII, Vietnam.. Over 100 re-enactors and more than 40 camps will be on site representing their historic time period with demonstrations, games, and other sights and sounds for an exciting historic adventure you won’t forget. This is a free event, but food and beverages will be available for purchase. Legion Member meals are provided from the community. Questions? Members can contact us for more information about ride-sharing, set up times, equipment and other related questions. Visitors can contact us about other questions or concerns. This is a family event and we hope you'll all enjoy the experiece! |
